Fronde Anywhere has been included in a Garter Hype Cycle – Hype Cycle for Banking/Investment Services Front-Office Technologies, 2007
12 July 2007, Stamford, CT
The objective of the front office is to provide customers with a consistent and satisfying experience irrespective of channel. This Hype Cycle will assist banks and investment services firms in assessing new technologies that can improve processes to achieve that objective.
A few key comments from the Hype Cycle include:
- Discussion around WAP and Java apps for mobile banking, and how Java apps are seen as more advanced and user friendly
- Launching mobile banking as part of a multi-channel integration strategy
- Avoiding multiple application versions for devices, in favor of a more standardized and secure version for most mobile devices on the market.
- The key to successful mobile banking is identifying and targeting the customer’s requirements – customer segmentation for banking services
- The Hype Cycle mentions that New Zealand banks have successfully deployed mobile consumer banking.
