5 November 2007:
Fronde Anywhere’s innovative multi factor authentication solution, TwoSecure™, won the Enatel Innovation Award at the 2007 PricewaterhouseCoopers New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards.
TwoSecure™ provides an easy to use two factor authentication application that generates one time passwords (OTPs) via an application that is stored on the mobile phone.
Judging was based on several criteria, including the product’s competitive advantage, how the success of the product has impacted on the company, and reasons why the company should receive the award.
Caroline Dewe, Director of Products & Marketing states “we see this technology having the potential to change the face of the multi-billion dollar international identity management industry. With banking regulatory bodies around the world starting to mandate that banks implement some form of multi factor authentication in order to protect customer’s identities and funds. TwoSecure™ is ideally placed to meet a very strong and growing market need."
Fronde Anywhere was one of the company’s profiled in a TV3 Business News feature leading up to the award night, which includes an exclusive interview with Caroline Dewe. Fronde Anywhere is the second company profiled.
The Hi-Tech Awards were inaugurated 14 years ago to recognise New Zealand technology businesses that are leading their industries, both here and around the world. The awards also acknowledge the people behind these companies who are working to build businesses around exciting new technologies.
Owen Gibson, a partner in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Emerging Businesses practice, said the high-tech industry was one of the most fast-paced and challenging areas of business in New Zealand.
